Abbiamo visitato i seguenti villaggi: Ban Nonglek , Ban NongBua Thong, Ban Oor, Ban Kutluang, Ban Nonyang e Ban Keelek.
Report # 4: 26/10/2554The first part of OPERATION NAM TOUAM was completed today when we reached the last 98 needy families, affected by the flood in Rattanaburi District.
Today the following villages were visited: Ban Pore, Ban Jaan, Ban Keng, Ban Tabnoi and Ban Tabyai
As soon as we finished distributing the “relief package” to these 98 families we started getting ready and packing the food and other essential items which we will bring to Ayuthaya on November 10. We are having some difficulties in finding some of the items we plan to give as there is a serious shortage in supply, since the flood is seriously affecting Bangkok, the heart of the nation.
Thank you for you very important and vital support.
Report # 5: 31/10/2554We are relentlessly working towards the next step, the main one, of OPERATION NAM TOUAM: Relief action in Ayuthaya Province. Yesterday with the help of many of our high school students and village’s volunteers packing continued. Due to shortage of essential items, even in Surin, we have trouble to get canned fish, oil and soap but we shall be ready in due time!
In the meantime, tomorrow night a small but meaningful event will take place in Lugano, Switzerland. A charity dinner will be held at Uma’s residence (Uma is a great friend and a wonderful Thai cook , living in Switzerland who offered the dinner to Sainam). We hope to raise a little more money.
Last but not least, requests for help also came from Bangkok area such as Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani. I will personally go and check those families on November 7th, and 8th before moving to Ayuthaya but the chances we could extend help to these families are extremely remote, for financial reasons.
So far we did spend 1.888.088 THB, hoping we will even our accounts with the promised donations.
To cope with the great demand for help we HAD to change our approach and budget, this to be able to reach as many people as possible.
With these adjustments we will be able to help as follows:
2.000 families in Ayuthaya
200 families in Saraburi Province, close to Ayuthaya Province border.
258 families in Rattanaburi District, Surin / Operation Completed
Details about the changes in the budget and in the distribution patterns will be in my next communication.
Thank you for you very important and vital support.
